There are six new maps in Uprising, each containing a variety of vehicles, structures, and landscapes. Two are designed for large-scale battles with infantry fighting vehicles and battle tanks while four are geared more towards tactical gear-head action with smaller skirmishes. It includes two bonus maps for the Xbox 360 version only.
We've all been there before - you load up your favorite game to play for hours on end but then it crashes or freezes on you right before that boss battle! It's probably one of the most frustrating things that can happen to any gamer, yet it also gives an opportunity to finally get some housework done. Now, imagine if your favorite game crashed on you right after you saved. That's exactly what some gamers are having to deal with - some very angry gamers, actually - as the game "Red Alert 3" has their game crashes compounded by the fact that there is no way of fixing them!
The problem, however, is that EA is denying any kind of fix for these crashes! Don't believe me? Well here's Quinton's Guide's editor-in-chief (JC) to tell you why EA can't be believed!
QG: What exactly is "Uprising"?
A: It's a patch for R3 that comes with two extra maps and two new units for the Xbox 360 version only.
QG: What game is the patch for?
A: Red Alert 3.
QG: You must be joking! Doesn't this game come bundled with the original game?
A: Yes it does. And I'm not kidding. I've played R3 for days on end and there has been no crashes or freezes thus far, but these guys are having problems like its the end of the world! There was supposed to be a patch that fixes all PC glitches but they can't get it to work... and now they're mad.
QG: How mad are they?
A: Let's just say that some of these gamers found a way to get a hold of some EA executives' phone numbers and started calling them as well as emailing them the concerns! It's actually rather amazing, I must admit.
QG: Do you think the patch will be fixed?
A: Well, according to Quinton's Guide, there has been no word from EA about this problem or a fix at all! Until someone from EA speaks out on this issue, there is no use getting your hopes up for a patch to be released.
